About the Team

Hello!

Our team is made up of a group of close friends who went to High School together. This will be our 16th year in the league, and though we have suffered with a few retirements over the off season... The addition of some new (yet familiar) faces may just be the beam of light that finally pushes the Daddy's to a well deserved championship.

Now that being said.. Last year was a tough one for the Dads. Finishing in last place with an early exit in the first round of the playoffs. Multiple injuries and poor, poor physique's may have played a factor in to this "not so great" result. Never the less, the Dads showed promise, and dare I say it, hope that this upcoming softball season may have a different outcome this year..

Honestly, this league is a way for us middle aged boys to have one night a week over the summer to not worry about our day to day lives, and just unwind on the diamond. With a beer of course.

Now to the important stuff.. During every game we only drink Labatt Blue and Labatt Blue light. Each week, a new person is in charge of making sure we have enough Blue and Blue light. Three years ago, a member of our team brought Coors Light. To this day, that person is not allowed to be in charge of the beer. There's some things people cannot forgive. He crossed the line (haha).

A nice treat is when we know its going to be a very warm game. Someone always shows up with Blue light lime, or our personal favorite, Labatt Grapefruit!

When our games are over, we always head back to Kellys Korner for Wings, Fingers and a minimum of 3 pitchers of Blue Light. Its a nice tradition we have been doing for a long time now.
