Rink Rats

The Rink Rats have been playing in the Performax hockey league since the 2003-04 season, so 20 years now. While a lot of teams have come and gone, the Rats have been a league fixture with several of us being on the team 15 years or more.

We play in both the winter and summer seasons with Performax, as well as the annual spring Greater Buffalo tournament, averaging approximately 40-45 games a year, depending on how deep we go into the playoffs in each season.

We’ve transcended being a team, we are a brotherhood. Our annual outdoor Winter Classic Alumni game often draws 40-50 guys who have at one time wore the Rat logo.

It matters.
